I’m a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Ghent University, working on the Corpus of Historical Low German project. I’m currently combining this with a research stay at the University of Konstanz, where I’m a collaborator on a project developing visualisation methods for investigating language change.
I received my PhD on expletives and syntactic change in Icelandic from the University of Manchester in 2018. I also hold previous degrees from the University of Cambridge and the University of Aberdeen.
I’m originally from Northumberland, a beautiful part of the world…
